Albert Wix

Albert Raymond Wix, age 73, of Dallas, GA passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2015 at his residence. He was born on January 1, 1942, in Atlanta, GA, to the late Spurgeon Lee and Edna Earl Wix, and was preceded in death by his brother, Charlie Wix. Pop had strong Christian values and was a role model to his family, a man who loved his wife of 52 years and his grandkids. He was an excellent carpenter and “great honey doer”, who enjoyed working on the house and helping in the kitchen, loved by everyone and always there to help.

Survivors include his wife, Geneva Wix of Dallas, GA; sons and daughter in laws; Michael Wayne and Tina Wix of Powder Springs, GA, Jeffrey and Diana Wix of Dallas, GA, Christopher and Jennifer Wix of Dallas, GA and daughter and son-in-law, Valerie Jane and Reuben Moore of Sylva, NC; sisters and brother-in-laws, Betty Jane and Russell Harp of Lithia Springs, GA, Shirley and Bill Garvin of Douglasville, GA; sister-in-law, Shirley Wix of Powder Springs, GA; grandchildren; Crystal Hakansson, Brandon Wix, Carl Moore, Branigan Wix, Austyn Wix, Chuck Moore, Cristen Moore and Jadyn Wix; great- grandchildren; Konrad Hakansson, Landon Moore, Elleigh Rae Wix, Grayson Moore, Erika Hakansson and Maci Kate Wix; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home with Reverend Durwood Perry officiating. Interment will follow at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park in Marietta, GA. The family will receive friends on Monday, August 10, 2015 from 5:00- 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 from 5:00-8:00 p.m.
