He was the proud father of four sons—Allen Wayne “Buck” Copeland Jr. (Shannon), Michael “Mike” (Maureen “Mo”) Copeland, Albert "Chuck" (Kelli) Copeland, David “Shane” (Jennifer) Copeland. and had a special bond with his grandchildren: Brian, Avery, Devan, Mareesa, Dawson, Corbin, Aspen, Kaleigha, and Palin. He also cherished his great-granddaughter, Raelyn. Wayne is also survived by his brother, Lamar (Donna) Copeland, and sisters Glenda "Sissy" Rogers and Gina Wix; several nieces and nephews.

A man of simple pleasures, Wayne loved a good game of cards, particularly Spades, and took pride in his collection of tools and knives. His family will deeply miss his playful spirit and unwavering love. In honor of Wayne’s life, a visitation will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2025, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Clark Funeral Home.
