Alta Cole

Alta “Faye” Cole, age 84, of Hiram, GA; passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2016. She was born on March 24, 1932, in Dallas, GA, to the late Willard & Flora Mae Roberson, and was preceded in death by two infant siblings, daughters-in-law, Christy F. Cole, and Ann Cole; son-in-law, Dee Holcombe; grandchildren, Joseph Holcombe and Jeremy Cole; brothers, Ernest Roberson, and Thomas Roberson; sisters, Frances Hitchcock, Clarice Brown and Ruby Hall. Mrs. Cole was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.

Survivors include husband of 68 years, Reverend Jewell Edward Cole of Hiram, GA; sons, James E Cole of Hiram, GA, Jerry & Donna Cole of Dallas, GA, Marcus & Vickie Cole of Rockmart, GA, and Wallace Cole of Hiram, GA; daughters, Darlene Holcombe of Hiram, GA, Lydia & Guillermo Godinez of Hiram, GA; Naomi & Marty Harmon of Hiram, GA; Mary &Stanley Kitchens of Dallas, GA; Debra & Gerald Kitchens of Temple, GA, and Dorothea & Ed Graham of Tallapoosa, GA; forty grandchildren, many additional foster grandchildren, twenty nine great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2016, at 3 PM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Pastor Eric Cole and Reverend Jeff Clark. Interment will follow at Emmanuel Baptist Church Cemetery. Lee Cole, Michael Godinez, Nolan Harmon, Gunner Harmon, Carlin Cole, Chase Cole and Cody Stewart will serve as pallbearers. James Holcombe, Brent Cole, Daniel Godinez, Ryan Cole, Brandon Holt, Ben Holt, Lee Graham, Eddie Graham, and Aaron Graham will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family of Mrs. Cole will have visitation on Friday, November 11, 2016, from 3 PM until 4 PM and will receive friends from 4 PM until 8 PM at the funeral home.
