Andrea Kay (Bentley) Palmer

Andrea "Kay" Palmer passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2023, in her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 18, 1951, in Villa Rica, GA, to the late Richard and Pauline Parson Bentley Pressley . She worked for a few years with Southern Freight Railroad before finding her calling as the School Secretary at New Georgia Elementary, She worked there for over 20 years before retiring. She was a fixture in the New Georgia Community and everyone knew her and she knew everyone, especially her students. Kay loved her family deeply, especially her grandson, he was the light of her life. She was a lifelong member of Concord Baptist Church and was the church pianist for over 47 years. Kay was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and cousin who will be missed by many.

In addition to her parents, Kay is preceded in death by loving husband of 48 years, Dannie Palmer and a nephew Barry Warren.

She is survived by her son, Jason Richard Palmer; a daughter, Jennifer Black; a brother, Mike (Reneé) Pressley; a grandson, Brayen Black; a cousin, C.T. (Deidre) Warren; a sister in law, Darlene(Donnie) Davis; Uncle, Melvin (Juanita) Bentley; two nieces, Donna Cochran and Lynn Nichelson; five nephews, Caleb Pressely, Andrew Pressley, Daniel Davis, Joey Warren, Brad Warren, and a large network of church friends, students, and colleagues.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. There will be a Lie-In-State at Concord Baptist Church Wednesday, April 12, 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm. Funeral Service for Kay will be held at Concord Baptist Church (3376 Harmony Road. Temple, Ga. 30179) on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at 3:00 PM with Pastor Joey Dedman, Rev. Sammy Clark, Rev. Don Rackley, and Rev C.T. Warren officiating. Interment will follow at Concord Baptist Church Cemetery with Dennis Barber, Brad Warren , Caleb Pressley, Joey Warren, Justin Crowe, Daniel Davis, Mike Pressley and David Bentley serving as pallbearers and The Deacons of Concord Baptist Church and Members of the Helping Hands Sunday School Class serving as Honorary pallbearers.
