Theodore Andrew “Andy” Branscum, age 76, of Dallas, GA passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2014. He was born on August 22, 1937 in Bakersfield, CA, to the late, Theodore Andrew Branscum, Sr. & the late, Elizabeth Gay Branscum. He was a Petty Officer First Class E-6 serving in the U.S. Navy as an AX1 Anti-submarine Warfare Technician mostly in VP squadrons from 1960 to 1970. Mr. Branscum retired from Los Angeles County, CA in 2003 where he worked as a Bio Medical Electronics Technician. He moved to Dallas, GA in 2005 where he was a member of Church of God, a Worldwide Association in Marietta, GA. He loved his Bible studies, traveling, camping, volunteering for Hospice and TELLUS Museum, and loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Toni Louise Branscum; his children, Pam & Craig Woods of Hiram, GA, Stephen & Linda Branscum of Margate, FL, Melissa & Richard Martel of Acworth, GA; sister, Linda & Herbert Delbridge of Rockville, VA; 6 grandchildren; 1 grandson-in-law; 2-step grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 1 niece and 7 nephews.
Memorial services will be held Sunday, January 19, 2014 at 11:00 a.m., at Clark Funeral Home in Hiram, GA, with Mr. Bruce Gore officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, January 19, 2014, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. The interment will be held at Georgia National Cemetery on Monday, January 20, 2014 at 9:30 a.m.
