Andy Mayes

Andy Mayes, age 22, of Douglasville, GA, unexpectedly passed away on Saturday, August 11, 2012, at his home. He was born on March 25, 1990 in Roswell, GA, to Trevor & Donna Fite and lived in Paulding County for the last 19 years. Andy was an outstanding baseball player, loving uncle, devoted friend, loyal brother and amazing son. He loved life and lived each day to the fullest, always finding something to laugh and joke about. He was always willing to help anyone in need.
Survivors include his parents, Trevor & Donna Fite of Douglasville, GA;
sister, Christina & David Blair of Thornton, CO; brother, Mark Mayes & Rhoda Smith of Dallas, GA and John Mayes of Douglasville, GA; nephews, Garrett and Pierson Blair of Thornton, CO, and Luke Mayes of Mableton, GA; grandfather, Lyman L. Smith, Jr. of Atlanta, GA; grandmother, Ms. Darlette of Detroit, MI; uncles, Frank Smith of Maryland, Lee Smith of Atlanta, GA, Byron Smith of Cumming, GA, Joseph Blizinski of Detroit, MI, and Patrick Blizinski of Santa Cruz, CA; aunts, Mary Rogers of Detroit, MI and Evelyn Smith of Johns Creek, GA; cousins, Nikki and Stephanie Smith of Maryland and Claire Smith of Atlanta, GA; and many, many friends in Paulding County. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Don Blizinski and grandmother, Doris Wingate.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 15, 2012, at 3:00 PM, from Clark Funeral Home with Mr. Lyman L. Smith, Jr., Mr. Frank Smith and Mr. Nick Hodgins officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Mayes, John Mayes, David Blair, Jake Ballenger, Josh Fuller and Nick Neal. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, on Tuesday, August 14, 2012, from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM and on Wednesday, August 15, 2012, from 1:00 PM until the service time.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that all attending bring lots of love, hugs and smiles.
