Annice “Nana” House, age 77, of Douglasville, GA (Paulding County), passed away on Tuesday, December 11, 2018. She was born on February 12, 1941, in Douglasville, GA (Paulding County) to the late Hasting & Vonie Sinyard, and was preceded in death by her husband, James “Jim” House; brothers, William Sinyard, Horace Sinyard, Dwight Sinyard; and sister, Myrtice Jolly. She was described by her husband as, “the finest lady God had ever made”. She was also the best mother and Nana to everyone she met. Her favorite thing to do with Jim was to fish and she always caught the biggest and most fish. Mrs. House was a member of Bethel West in Wedowee, AL.
Survivors include sons, David (Michelle) House of Fort Payne, AL, and Doug Jackson of Douglasville, GA; daughters, Ann (Martin) Smith of Bremen, GA, Nancy Jackson of Hiram, GA; brothers, Corky (Janice) Sinyard, Hugh (Nora) Sinyard; sister, Mildred (Gary) Ryan; grandchildren, Bruce (Katie) Turner, Joshua (Cara) House, Jacob (Jessica) House, Jessie (Kylee) House, Anna-Lecia Jackson, Adam Jackson, Christina Smith, and Paul (Luca) Smith; great-grandchildren, Paislee House, Hayden Eller, Jase House, Jake House, Hailey Jackson, Kylan House, Logan House, Benjamin House; many nieces and nephews.
Memorial services for Annice “Nana” and her husband, Jim House, who passed away on August 15, 2018, will be held on Sunday, December 16, 2018, at 2 PM, from Clark Funeral Home Chapel, with Preacher David House, Mr. Adam Jackson and Reverend Johnny Foster officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, December 16, 2018, from 12 PM until 2 PM.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
