Barbara Ann (Arbuckle) Ensley

Barbara Ann Ensley, a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2023, at her home in Hiram, GA. She was born on August 23, 1935, in Lancaster, PA to the late, Samuel and Christina Arbuckle.

Barbara's Professional journey began in 1957, as a graduate of Nursing School in Lancaster PA, where she cultivated her passion for healing and providing comfort to those in need. Throughout her career, she touched countless lives, extending her love and care to all she encountered.

Outside of her professional life, Barbara found her greatest joy in her family. She was a devoted wife to her loving husband, Arvil Ensley. She was a self-sacrificing mother to her three sons.

In addition to her parents, Barbara is preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Arvil Gene Ensley. Barbara is survived by three sons, Fred Purcell, Danny Purcell, Coury Purcell; a brother, Samuel Leonard Arbuckle Jr. (Sandy); and four grandchildren, Alexandria Purcell, Luke Purcell, Zoe Purcell and David Purcell; and Felix Kaemmerer, our German exchange student, who was like a son to her.

Funeral services to honor Barbara's life will take place at Clark Funeral Home on August 26, 2023. The family will receive friends for visitation from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm. A funeral service will commence at 12:00 pm with Rev. Wilson Smith officiating. The burial will follow at Midway Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 4635 Dallas Hwy, Powder Springs, GA 30127
