Barbara Howes

Barbara Ann Howes, age 72, of Dallas, GA, passed away Saturday, September 15, 2012. She was born, January 15, 1940, in Atlanta, GA, to the late, Heyward H. & Mary Helen Thompson, and was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Pat Thompson. She was retired from the Atlanta Journal Constitution after 17 years as a district manager.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Gary F. Howes; son & daughter-in-law, Wesley & Sharon Howes of Dallas, GA; daughter & son-in-law, JoAnne & Kenny Cheek of Marietta, GA; brother, C. L. Thompson (Judy) of Canadian, OK; sister-in-law, Wendy Hanley of Damascus, MD; grandchildren, David Cheek (Stephanie), Elisabeth Cheek, Abby Andree (Evan), Thomas Howes and Timmy Howes; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 19, 2012, at 7:00 PM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Pastor Rich Erdman officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 19, 2012, from 5:00 PM until the service time.
