Bernarr Kincaid “Kin” Rakestraw Jr., age 62, of Dallas, GA, passed away on March 7, 2017. He was born on May 8, 1954, in Atlanta, Ga. to the late Bernarr Kincaid & Delores Ruth Rakestraw. Kin was a member of Popular Springs Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Lucy M. Rakestraw; stepmother, Stephanie Wyatt Rakestraw of Dallas, GA; brother, Jason & Lauri Rakestraw of Acworth, GA; sisters, Denise & Allan Griffin of Dallas, GA, and Darlene & Steve Golden of Dallas, GA; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Memorial services will be held on March 10, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. from Clark Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Mt. Tabor Church Cemetery. Carlton Rakestraw, Jeffrey Brown, Brian Shipp, Dennis Alsobrook, Clyde Childers and Steve Gober will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on March 10, 2017, from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service.
