Bill Gable

Bill Gable, age 78, of Hiram, GA, passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2010. He was born June 13, 1931, in Atlanta, GA, and was preceded in death by his parents, William Rudolph Gable & Florence Virginia Gable and a daughter, Charlotte Gable. Mr. Gable was a U. S. Navy veteran of the Korean War. He was retired from Lockheed Space Center in Cape Canaveral, FL, after working 20 years as an engineer. Mr. Gable was a member of the West Metro Church of God in Douglasville.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Margaret Arlene Gable; sons & daughters-in-law, Blaine & Teresa Gable of Jonesboro, GA, Blake & Michelle Gable of Jonesboro, GA and John Lee Gable of Charlotte, NC;
daughter & son-in-law, Alecia & Ronnie Smith of Hiram, GA; brothers & sisters-in-law, Don & JoAnne Gable of Acworth, GA and Dan & Edna Gable of Hiram, GA; sister, Wanda Bullard of Carrollton, GA; twelve grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Friday, May 21, 2010, at 2:00 PM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Pastor Glenn Rountree and Dr. Doug Chatham officiating. Interment will follow in Georgia Memorial Park, with Joseph Smith, Corey Smith, Danny Gable, Randy Gable, Gary Gable, Tron Gable and Jimmy Gable serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, May 20, 2010, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
