Bill Hardin, age 88, of Dallas, GA, passed away Sunday, February 2, 2014. He was born in Cordell, OK, March 5, 1925, and was preceded in death by his parents, James Alford Hardin & Myrtle Annabelle Hardin; wife, Sarah Howard Hardin; son, Howard Hardin; and grandson, Nicholas Smith. Mr. Hardin was a Veteran of World War II and the Korean War, serving in the U. S. Marines. He retired from Lockheed-Martin as an engineer, after 30 years of service and was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include his children, Susan & Tom Sawyer of Dallas, GA, Kay Smith of Hiram, GA and John & Fran Hardin of Dallas, GA; daughter-in-law, Diane Hardin of Dallas, GA; brother & sister-in-law, Larry & Lynn Hardin of Texas; sisters & brothers-in-law, Mary & Vernon Ruelle of Texas and Dorothy & Robert Birch of Texas; grandchild, Shane Smith; great-grandchildren, Averi Smith, Melani Smith, Maddy Smith and Mason Smith; a special great-granddaughter, Katie Caffrey; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 5, 2014, at 11:00 AM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Minister Phillip Satterfield and Evelyn Milner officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 4, 2014, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Interment will be held on Monday, February 17, 2014, at 9:30 AM, from Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA.
