Mrs. Bobbie Lee Rumph, age 87, of Douglasville, passed away August 3, 2024. She was born on April 23, 1937, in Atlanta, Georgia, the daughter of the late John Gordon Murphy and the late Ruth Victoria Petty Murphy. She was a homemaker and a cherished member of New Georgia Baptist Church. She will be remembered for her unwavering faith and dedication to her Lord. Bobbie was a woman of many talents, excelling in art and poetry, and passed on her love for art, poetry and love for plants to her grandchildren and her great grandchildren.
Throughout her life, Bobbie found joy in the simple pleasures of tending to her garden and enjoying the beauty of nature, particularly the vibrant hummingbirds she fed and watched with delight. Her love for her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, was unparalleled, and she took great pride in watching them grow and thrive.
In addition to her parents, Bobbie was also preceded in death by her husband, John Clent Rumph and her siblings: Clarence Murphy and Estelle Rivers.
Bobbie is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Sandy Rumph; daughter and son-in-law, Valinda and Randy Autrey; grandchildren and their spouses: Jennifer Borsh, Jason (Kara) Rumph, Jamie (Truman) Oetting, Heather (Micah) Gravley, and Kristen (Travis) Monroe; great grandchildren: Makayla Oetting, Rylan Oetting, Hope Gravley, Bella Gravley, Abbey Gravley, Jake Monroe, Morgan Monroe, Eden Borsh, Anna Borsh, Gavin Borsh, Hudson Rumph and Miles Rumph; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home in Hiram, Georgia on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm.
The Funeral Service will be held Thursday, August 8, 2024 at 11:00 am in the Sam Clark Chapel with Dr. Keith Stell and Dr. Jim Burdette officiating. The service will be livestreamed on this page and at the following link: https://webcast.funeralvue.com/events/viewer/103455
Interment will follow in Melrose Hills Memorial Park with Jason Rumph, Truman Oetting, Micah Gravley, Travis Monroe, Rylan Oetting and Dennis VanZandt serving as Pallbearers.
