Brenda Sue (Barmore) Reaid

Brenda Barmore Reaid, age 66, passed away on May 21, 2023. Brenda was born in Marietta, GA to Johnny Barmore Sr. and Ruth Crowe on April 16, 1957. She was known for her caring heart, great sense of humor, and her outspokenness. She always said what was on her mind and she never backed down. Brenda was incredibly strong willed and she gave everything her all. Her generosity lead her to meet many people and she never met a stranger. In her free time, she loved going to yard sales to see what items she could add to her collection. Her favorite thing to do was spending time with her family. She adored her sweet grandchildren and cherished her time with them. Brenda was a wonderful mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend who will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny Eugene Barmore Sr. and Ruth Ellen Crowe; her sister, Deborah Towery; brother, Johnny "Buddy" Eugene Barmore Jr.; and her brother-in-law, Wayne Thomason. Brenda is survived by her loving partner, Harold Gilbert; her two children, LaTonya (Jeremy) Kilgore; and Joshua Reaid; her siblings, Barbara (John) Houghtalling; Martha Thomason; Ricky Crowe, Joe Crowe, Charlie Crowe, and Bethany Barmore Elyea; four grandchildren, Jonah Kilgore, Benjamin Kilgore, Seth Kilgore, Samuel Kilgore; nieces, Carmen Barmore and Jayden Barmore; and several other nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral services for Mrs. Brenda will be held at Clark Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at 11:00am with Reverend Jeremy Kilgore officiating. Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery with Justin Shirley, Kevin Crowe, and John Houghtalling serving as pallbearers.
