With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Brian Lee McAuley, who passed away on January 21, 2025, at the age of 75. Born in Atlanta, GA, on October 26, 1949, to the late Sheridan and Mary McAuley, Brian lived a life full of passion, adventure, and dedication.
Brian served proudly in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. After his service, he enjoyed a long and successful career at P.P.G, where he worked for over 30 years. Known for his active lifestyle, Brian found joy in running, biking, swimming, and even competed in triathlons. In his 60s, he completed a half marathon, proving that age was just a number. Whether dirt bike racing or enjoying peaceful days fishing, Brian embraced every opportunity for adventure and cherished the time spent with his family, creating lasting memories.
In addition to his parents, Brian is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Michelle McAuley.
A devoted father, brother, and friend, Brian is survived by his daughter, Madeline McAuley; son, Zachary McAuley; brothers, Steve (Tatsuko) McAuley and Mark (Dianna) McAuley; sister, Janet Martin; nieces, Mary Adams, Joyce Deighton, and Jennifer Bates; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He will be deeply missed by his devoted dog, Tux.
Family and friends are invited to gather at Clark Funeral Home on Sunday, January 26, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM in the Sam Clark Chapel of Clark Funeral Home with Reverend Don Rackely officiating.
