Burrell Quinton Maxwell, age 86, of Dallas, GA, passed away at his home on Monday, July 22, 2019. He was born on June 5, 1933 in Toccoa, GA, to the late James and Eunice Maxwell. Mr. Maxwell was retired from Georgia Transporter and Whitaker Oil Company where he worked as a mechanic for over 50 years and was a faithful member of Mt. Harmony Baptist Church. He also served in the United States Army, where he bravely served in Korea for two years. Mr. Maxwell is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 59 years, Shelby Jean Maxwell, and his parents.
Survivors include his son, John Quinton Maxwell of Dallas, GA, daughter, Shelby Loraine Roberts of Powder Springs, GA, brother, John and Sylvia Maxwell of Tampa, FL, sister, Faith Maxwell of Acworth, GA, half brother, Pate Maxwell, half sisters; Anne Stowe, Linda Bennett, Sharon Maxwell, grandchildren; Brandi Loraine Jenkins, Jessica Ann Knight, Nicholas Coleman Knight (Crystal), Megan Jean Roberts, Adam Quinton Maxwell (Megan), 12 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mr. Maxwell will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2019 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service at Mt. Harmony Memorial Gardens with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: David Black, Nicholas Knight, Cory Johnston, Tommy Maxwell, Adam Maxwell, and Gary Minyard. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
