C. Louis (Lou) Smith, age 63, of Douglasville, GA, passed away Wednesday, August 6, 2014. The son of the late, Hoyt & Euba Smith, he was born July 3, 1951, in Macon, GA. Lou grew up in Rome, GA and lived in many places throughout his life including California, Colorado, Washington and Alaska. He served in the U. S. Navy and was a Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a master electrician for 30 years and later worked as a certified computer technician.
Survivors include his children, Shawn Trinity Smith of Semmes, AL, Joshua Adam Smith of Douglasville, GA, and Sara Beth Thrasher of Kingston, GA; sister, Peggy Jean Ivey of Rome, GA; grandchildren, Heather Deneice Baker of Euharlee, GA and Jacob Alexander Smith of Dallas, GA; great-grandson, Braydon Alexander Baker of Euharlee, GA; several nieces and nephews; loving companion, Marty Smith of Dallas, GA, and her children and grandchildren; and devoted friend Robbie Aue of Douglasville, GA.
Mr. Smith was preceded in death by a son, Jeremiah Daniel Smith, and a brother and sister.
