Carol Meek

Carol Josephine Meek, 78, passed away on December 12, 2023.

Carol was born on July 13, 1945, in Altoona, Alabama.

She grew up in Bonaire with her mother and would spend her summers in Alabama with her grandmother.

Carol was married to Lowell Gordon, the love of her life for 30 plus years, he passed in 1997. She remarried years later to J.B. Meek who she also buried.

Carol worked for DFCS for many years and retired from the GBI where she transcribed for the medical examiners.

Carol was a lady that would do what she could to help anyone in need. Carol had a small circle of friends that she loved dearly. She liked to hangout Janet and Shelly. She also liked to read and collect books and recipes.

Carol is survived by one niece, Regina Yawn and two great nephews, Anthony, and Andrew Yawn.

A celebration of Carol's life will occur at a later date.
