Carolyn Jones

Carolyn Jones, age 79, of Rockmart, GA, passed away at her home on Thursday, October 10, 2019. She was born on January 24, 1940 in Dallas, GA, to the late Asberry Parson and Jewell Palmer. Mrs. Jones worked as a cook for Route 61 BBQ for over 10 years. She is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Ted Alexander Jones, daughter, Peggy Annette Hubbard, sister, Lisa Whitten, Grandsons; Jayson Sweat, Clay Jones and two great granddaughters.

Survivors include her sons; Keith Jones of Decatur, AL, Tracy (Sabrina) Hulsey of Rockmart, GA, Donnie (Lynette) Hulsey of Hiram, GA, daughters; Sherry (Charles) Dowis of Funston, GA, Penny (Venoy) Sweat of Rockmart, GA, Karen (Willie) Frerichs of Lithia Springs, GA, Donna (Carl) Smith of Centre, AL, Frankie (Jimmy) Chafin of Dallas, GA, brother, James Parson of Acworth, GA, sister, Mary Ann Moss of Irvingston, AL, 24 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren, many great – great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Jones will be held on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at 11:00 AM from the Clark Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Thomas Cole officiating. Interment will follow the service at Paulding Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, October 14, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
