Carolyn Ann Whitley passed away on June 30, 2022. She was born on September 15, 1942 to the late Dallas and Blanche Williams. Carolyn's life was centered around God and her family. Both were very important to her and she lived an honest and pure life. Carolyn was the owner and operator of her own business, Whitley's Personal Care Home and she also had a daycare. She was selfless and tireless in her work and always took care of others with dignity. She touched many lives throughout her life and many still refer to her as Mama Carolyn. Carolyn loved everyone and she was loved by all. She was the best wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend who will be so deeply missed.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 34 years, Kenneth Paul Whitley Sr. She is survived by her children, Tina (Marvin) Brooks, Cathy Whitley, Kenneth (Wendy) Whitley Jr., and Michelle (Steve) Werner; brother, Carl "Peewee" Williams; nine grandchildren, Frankie Brooks, Rana Faulkner, Catie Prince, Jamie Prince, Carson Payne, Karissa Whitley, Christian Whitley, Kassidy Werner, Savannah Werner; ten great-grandchildren, Brooke Faulkner, Bubba Brooks, Brayden Abbott, Abigail Abbott, Caydence Prince, Colton Payne, Calie Payne, Carter Payne, Josey Prince, and Lillyann Prince.
The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Saturday, July 2, 2022 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm. Funeral Services for Mrs. Whitley will be held at Clark Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, July 3, 2022 at 3:00pm with Elder David Carnley officiating. Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery with Kenneth Whitley Jr., Marvin Brooks, Steve Werner, Jason Lawrence, Tommy Mackenzie, and Frankie Brooks serving as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made in Mrs. Carolyn's name towards Breast Cancer Research or the Alzheimer's Association .
