Carolyn Ann (Simpson) Williams

Carolyn Ann Williams passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 5, 1941, to the late Cecil and Nadine Campbell Simpson in Birmingham, AL. She retired after 40 years as a Civil Servant with the United States Air Force, serving in many bases around the country with Dobbins Air Reserve Base in Marietta, GA being her last assignment. Carolyn enjoyed spending time with her family and cooking, especially around the holidays, she would start cooking 3-4 days in advance, always preparing too much. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be deeply missed.

In addition to her parents, Carolyn is preceded in death by her loving husband Jerry Williams, and a brother Johnny Simpson. She is survived by her daughters, Penny Scott and her fiance, Kenneth Davis, Jeanne Ricketson and her husband, Frederick Ricketson III; brother, Jimmy Simpson; grand children, Samantha Dill, Taylor Scott, Heather Ricketson, Aubrey Ricketson, Brian Ricketson; 6 great-grandkids, Kyndale Dill, Alannah Clark, Selena Clark, J.J. Clark, Jonathan Clark, Charlie Clark; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

The family will hold a private memorial Service at a later date.
