Catherine Tibbitts

Catherine Tibbitts passed away on July 20th, 2022. She was born on September 8th, 1927, to the late James C. and  Mattie C. Cole in Dallas, Georgia. Catherine was a member of New Canaan Baptist Church alongside her husband Ed Tibbitts. She worked as a bookkeeper/office manager at West Georgia Bandag for over 15 years and at Tiptop Poultry for over 10 years. Catherine was an avid gardener and an incredibly hard worker. She and her husband Ed raised four children Cathie, Vickie, Terry, and Jill. She was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother who adored her family. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Catherine is preceded in death by her brothers, Edward Cole, David Cole; sisters, Bertha Sinclair and Irene Paris; her son-in-law, Mark Serrano; and granddaughter, Kasey Fennell.

Catherine is survived by Ed, her loving husband of 77 years; her children, Cathie T. Serrano, Vickie (Brent) Smith, Terry (Sheila) Tibbitts, Jill Marlow; and four grandchildren.

Due to Covid, the family will hold a private service. Interment will be at New Canaan Baptist Church.
