Cecil “Slick” Hulsey, age 74, of Dallas, GA, passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2018. He was born on April 5, 1943, in Dallas, GA, and was preceded in death by his father, Aaron Bennett Hulsey. Cecil worked for Ford Motor Company for 15 years, owned Dallas Gulf, Cecil Automotive and a pawn shop, and he built custom homes. He was a Christian and member of Concord Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Kathy Hulsey of Dallas, GA; sons, Justin & Jamie Hulsey of Dallas, GA, and Stan Hulsey of Dallas, Ga; daughter, Janeen Hulsey of Dallas, GA; mother and step-father, Cora Marie & Jack Queen of Dallas, GA; brother, Dennis & Annette Hulsey of Taylorsville, GA; sister, Betty Thompson of Dallas, GA; brother-in-law, Sam & Sarah Davis of Lawrenceville, GA; sister-in-law, Dottie Davis; grandchildren, Josh Hulsey of Chicago, IL, Ben Deal of Atlanta, GA, Alli & Austin Bresnock of Dallas, GA, Nic Gomez of Statesboro, GA, and Ayden Hulsey of Dallas, GA; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 7, 2018, at 2 PM, from New Canaan Baptist Church, with Dr. Curtis Turner, Rev. Joey Dedman, Bro. Don Scoggins, Bro. Chris Thompson and Bro. Travis Warren officiating. Interment will follow New Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery. Tommy Winters, Austin Bresnock, Nic Gomez, Ben Deal, Terry Womack, Mike Hulsey, Jimmy Smith and Wayne Daniel will serve as pallbearers. Pam Turner, Dr. Curtis Turner, Lamar Eason, Shannon Hunter, James Lollis, Fefe Lollis and Joy Carroll will perform the music for the service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, January 6, 2018, from 5 PM until 8 PM.
