It is with heavy hearts that we announce the upcoming funeral services for Anthony Phillips. Anthony stepped peacefully into his Savior's arms on the 6th of August, 2024. Born on the 5th of December 1947, in Villa Rica, GA, Anthony was Baptist by faith and a long-time member of Gateway Baptist Church in Villa Rica. Although in his later years, he was unable to attend church regularly, he loved to go to church and testify for the Lord. Anthony retired from the Kroger on Floyd Rd in Mableton, where he made many friends as a devoted bag boy for 25 plus years. Anthony will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Besides his love for his friends and family, Anthony enjoyed watching scary movies, ghost hunters, and wrestling and eating out. He was also an avid fan of the Georgia Bulldogs, Braves, and Falcons.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at the visitation scheduled to take place at Clark Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, starting at 10:00 am. Following the visitation, a Funeral Service honoring Anthony's life will be held in the Chapel at noon, with Brother Micah Williams officiating.

The burial will then take place at 1:30pm at the Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery. 2000 Cobb Pkwy SE. Marietta, GA, where Anthony will be laid to rest in a final tribute to his memory.

Anthony was preceded in death by his parents Wilbur Phillips and Pauline Drummond. He leaves behind his beloved cousins, Steve Williams (Terre), Paulette Crutchfield, Becky (Junior) Bearden, Robin (Tim) Brown, Lisa Thomas, along with a number of other relatives, who will cherish the memories they shared with Anthony forever. Also, surviving are his dearest friends the Mathna family, along with Charlie, Michael, and John Churchwell.

In celebrating his life, we bid farewell to Anthony Phillips, a man whose kindness and dedication will never be forgotten. May he rest in peace.
