Charles Armor Magill passed away on Monday, May 1, 2023. He was born on March 4, 1934, a son of the late Brooks and Grace Magill in Blue Springs, Mississippi.
He worked as an educator for over 37 years serving with the Monroe and Lee County Schools in Mississippi and retired from the Paulding County School System. He was the FFA Sponsor and AG advisor for Paulding County High School. He had such a passion for the green houses and program that when he retired, he set up a scholarship program for students in the AG program. Charles attended First Baptist Church of Dallas, where he served as a Deacon. He was a loving father, and grandfather who will be missed by many.
In addition to his parents, Charles is preceded in death by his loving wife, Allene Magill; a brother, Wayne Magill; and a sister, Helen Randle. Charles is survived by two sons, Timothy (Rhonda) Magill, and Steve (Kim) Magill; a brother, Stanley Magill; seven grandchildren; Taylor (Ryan) Sterritt, Cassidy (Justin) Evans, Riley Magill, Caroline (Colin) Bearden, Cade Magill, Ty Magill and Sawyer Owen; one great-grandchild, Jackson Evans.
The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Friday, May 5, 2023 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral Service for Charles will be held at Clark Funeral Home on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Alton Wilson officiating and Ricky Clemmons giving the Eulogy.
