Charles Irvin Youmans Sr. passed away on April 23, 2022. He was born on September 7, 1941 to the late James Irvin Youmans Jr. and Ella Williamson. Charles worked in roadway construction for over 50 years and he loved his job. He enjoyed spending time outdoors either fishing, hunting, or gardening and growing fruit trees. Charles was an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan and loved watching the games. He was a man of God who loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Charles adored his family and will be remembered as an amazing husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend who will be deeply missed.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Bob Youmans. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Sheila Youmans; his first wife, Carolyn Youmans; his sons, Chuck (Terrie) Youmans, J.I. (Erica) Youmans; daughter-in-law, Lori Youmans; brother, Jean (Misty) Youmans; sisters, Phyllis Strange, Janice (Mark) Stephens; grandchildren, Brent Clower, Calie (Mitch) Wanner, Leah (Dylan Stockunas) Youmans, Avery Youmans, Will Youmans; great-grandchild, Ada Lane Wanner; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Clark Funeral Home on Saturday, April 30, 2022 from 12:00pm until 3:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Children's Ministries Clubhouse at Macland Baptist Church in Powder Springs, Georgia.
