Clara "Nell" Jordan

Clara "Nell" Jordan, age 94, passed away on November 22, 2023. She was born on July 6, 1929, to the late Jack and Georgie Merritt in Woodstock, Georgia. Nell was an exceptional cook who loved cooking country food for all her friends and family. She took great joy in feeding others and having people at her table passing plates and sharing memories. When she wasn't cooking, Nell loved to make quilts with her sister, June, and share them with her family. Family was very important in her life and she cherished her two grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved spending time with them and making those special memories every chance she got.

Nell was a devoted member of Mt. Zion Church where she adored her church family. She loved being at church and serving her Lord and Savior.

Nell is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Georgie Cloud Merritt; her first husband, John West; and her second husband, William Hershel Jordan; her daughter, Linda Marie Noles; and her two brothers, James Loy Merritt and Donald Merritt.

Nell is survived by her son, Mike and wife, Sandy West, of Donalsonville, Georgia; brother, Lanier and wife, Fran Merritt, of Phenix City, Alabama; sister, June Cartee of Rome, Georgia; two grandchildren, Jennifer Amsink of San Antonio, Texas; Michelle and Britt Cicerchi of Macon, Georgia; two great-grandchildren, Anna Amsink and Aiden Cicerchi; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service for Mrs. Jordan will be held at Crest Lawn Memorial Park at 2:00 PM, on Friday, December, 1, 2023, with Reverend Tracy Carter Sr. officiating.
