Clarence (Tinky Watts) Tate, age 41, of Rockmart, GA (Paulding County), passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2013. He was born January 19, 1972, in Dallas, GA, to Jerry Watts & Shannon Tate and was preceded in death by a son, Joshua Watts, grandfather, Perry Watts and grandmother, Earline Tate. Mr. Tate had worked as a mechanic for Hardy Chevrolet. He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mandy Tate; father, Jerry Watts of Dallas, GA; mother, Shannon Tate of Rockmart, GA; children, Ashlin Watts of Lebanon, TN, Tarence Tate of Carrollton, GA, Whitney Leak of Carrollton, GA and Takarius Tuggle of Carrollton, GA; brothers, Al Watts & wife, Stephanie of Rockmart, GA, Cortez Watts of Dallas, GA, Cortavious Watts of Dallas, GA and Cory Watts of Dallas, GA; sister, Courtney McCrary of Dallas, GA; grandchildren, Malayah Joshlynn Bryant and Kaidan Poole; grandfather, Clarence (Bootsie) Tate of Rockmart, GA; grandmother, Mae Watts of Dallas, GA; special aunts, Edith Watts of Dallas, GA and Betty Wilson of Buford, GA; special cousins, Monica Wilson of Buford, GA, Eric Lott of Buford, GA and Craig Wilson of Dallas, GA; special nephews, Chase Proctor, Devin Watts and Kameron Watts all of Dallas, GA; and special friends, Ronnie Smith, Ben Smith and Sherry Bennett all of Dallas, GA.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at 3:00 PM, from Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, Rockmart, GA, with Reverend Klenneth Montgomery and Reverend Johnny McBurrows officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Tate will lie-in-state at the church from 2:00 PM until the service time. The family will receive friends on Monday, June 24, 2013, at Clark Funeral Home, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
