Clayton John Griffith, age 92, of Dallas, GA, passed away on Monday, April 13, 2020 at Wellstar Paulding Nursing Home. He was born on October 2, 1927 in Dallas, GA, to his late parents; Esker and Ruth Griffith. Clayton worked in construction for most of his life and was Baptist by faith. Mr. Griffith was a loving father, brother, and grandfather who will be dearly missed by his family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughters; Charlotte Priest, Brenda Elsberry, sisters; Nettie Griffith Upton, Rachel Griffith and son in law, Edward Adair.
Survivors include his son, Michael Griffith (JoAnn) of Rockmart, GA, daughters; Patricia Mancil and her husband, Lynnwood of Dallas, GA, Darlene Adair of Cartersville, GA, son in laws; Dennis Priest of Cartersville, GA, Ronny Elsberry of Dallas, GA, 8 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A private graveside service for Mr. Clayton Griffith will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2020 at Peaceful Meadows Memorial Cemetery with Mr. Jon Mancil and Mr. Darrian Kent officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be the following gentlemen; Darrian Kent, Malik Duran, Mateo Duran, Ryan Durnan, Jereme Kent, and Jon Mancil. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be, Michael Griffith. The family would like to extend their love and appreciation to everyone who will not be able to attend the service in person due to Covid-19 restrictions.
