Dr. Joe Teal, a distinguished chiropractor, and renowned hypnotherapist, passed away on August 16, 2024, at the age of 75 in his residence in Dallas, GA. Born in 1949, Dr. Teal dedicated his life to promoting health and wellness through his chiropractic practice for over four decades.
A graduate of Life Chiropractic School and later National Chiropractic, Dr. Teal's expertise extended beyond traditional chiropractic care. He shared his knowledge as a health reporter for local television stations and newspapers, enlightening the community on the benefits of holistic healing. Dr. Teal was the chiropractor to many professional wrestlers and Olympic athletes during the 1996 Olympic Games. Dr. Teal's impact was felt not just locally, but internationally, as he lectured at Central University in Ecuador, showcasing his passion for education and global health initiatives.
A multi-talented individual, Dr. Teal was a gifted banjo player who played at local churches and venues, wrote songs, and performed gospel and traditional bluegrass music. His creative talents also extended to literature, having authored three books that enriched the lives of those who read them. Dr. Teal's eloquence transcended linguistic barriers as he spoke multiple languages and shared his insights at prestigious institutions such as Harvard University and the National Association of Therapists.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Dr. Teal exuded positivity and served as a motivational speaker, inspiring countless individuals to embrace a holistic approach to well-being. His commitment to empowering youth was evident in his dedication to teaching children music, leaving a lasting impression on the next generation.
Dr. Joe Teal is survived by his loving spouse of 51 years, Judy Teal, who stood by his side through his various endeavors and shared in his passion for healing others. He is also survived by his sister, Barbara Teal; brothers-in-law, Alfonzo Viteri, Hector (Lupe) Viteri, Plutarco (Terry) Viteri; and sisters-in-law, Jenny (Jamie) Jacome, Edith Lemming, and Julia Nunez.
A Memorial Service to honor the life of Dr. Teal will be held on Sunday, August 25, 2024, at 2:00 PM in the Sam Clark Chapel. The service will be live streamed here as well as from the following link: Live Stream
