Clyde D. Brumbelow, age 96, of Dallas, GA, formerly of Lindale, GA, passed away Monday, May 28, 2012. He was born in Rome, GA, June 28, 1915, to the late, Charles Franklin Brumbelow & the late, Frances Yarbrough Brumbelow, and was preceded in death by his wife, Emmie Baker Brumbelow, five brothers and two sisters. He retired from West Point Pepperell Mill in Lindale, GA, as a machinist. Mr. Brumbelow was a loving Christian man and a loyal church member and deacon at High Shoals Baptist Church.
Survivors include his son & daughter-in-law, Billy & Dianne Brumbelow of Kennesaw, GA; daughter & son-in-law, Jeanette & Preston Barnette of Dallas, GA; brother, Odell Brumbelow of Lindale, GA; sister, Opal Kent of Lindale, GA; grandchildren, Terry & Catherine Barnette, Barry Barnette, Sheila & Greg Benefield and Cindy & Terry Morris; great-grandchildren, Brandi Barnette, Cade Shipp, Taylor Covington, Laura Coalson, Ansley Hitchcock and Ethan Morris; great-great-grandchildren, Ansley Meadows and Logan Pursley; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Thursday, May 31, 2012, at 2:00 PM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Reverend Marvin Gunter, Reverend William Timms and Reverend David Baker officiating. Interment will follow in Flint Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Aragon, GA. Terry Barnette, Barry Barnette, Greg Benefield, Cade Shipp, Terry Morris and Jonas Coalson will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at Clark Funeral Home, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
