Connie Teresa Smith

Connie T. Smith passed away on January 30, 2023. She was born on December 2, 1953 to the late Thomas and Genell Smith. Connie was her parents entire life. They strived to provide for her and keep her comfortable. She was so smart and a strong willed fighter. She taught her family so much and her life was cherished by all. Connie completed her famly and she will be so deeply missed.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Gail Smith; her brother-in-law, James Rutledge; and her niece, Mindy Rutledge. She is survived by her brother, Danny (Treva) Shelton; her sister, Tunya Rutledge; nieces and nephews, Amy (Tommy) Garrett, Stephanie Shelton and Jamie Winkles; great nieces and nephews, Gavin Garrett, Liam Garrett, Blakely Winkles, and Cambrie Winkles.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Monday, February 6, 2023 from 12:00pm until 2:00pm. Funeral services for Ms. Connie will begin at 2:00pm with Pastor James Cook and Pastor George Barnett officiating. Internment will follow at New Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery with Danny Shelton, Jamie Winkles, Tommy Garrett, Gavin Garrett, Chad Smith, and Jeff Cole serving as pallbearers.
