Conrad Lee Bailey, age 74, of Dallas, GA passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2009. He was born on July 11, 1934 in Atlanta, GA to the late Dewey Bailey and Marion Brooks. He was a retired Gauge Mechanic for the Owens Illinois Glass Co. in Hapeville, GA where he worked for 35 years. Mr. Bailey was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War and was a member of Mt. Nebo United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, LaDonna Mae Bailey; a son and daughter-in-law, Charles & Nancy Bailey of Douglasville; daughters and son-in-law, Connie & Terry Walsh of Hiram, Cathy Ellison of Marietta; daughter-in-law, Angie Gilreath of Marietta; a brother and sister-in-law, Byron & Lynn Bailey of Farmington Hills, Michigan; a sister and brother-in-law, Laverne & Les Hubbard of Monterey, CA; grandchildren, Kelly Ellison, Lynn Hall, Jennifer Wharton and her husband, Compton and Connie Isbell and her husband, Shane; great-grandchildren, Luke & Adam Wharton and Cameron, Cross and Christopher Isbell; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. from Mt. Nebo United Methodist Church with Rev. Joe Condra officiating. The interment will follow in the church cemetery with Guy Geyer, Russ Cosby, Compton Wharton, Shane Isbell,Gene Srescura and R. A. Johnson serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mt. Nebo United Methodist Church Building Fund, 3685 Nebo Rd., Hiram, GA 30141. Clark Funeral Home in Hiram, GA, is in charge of arrangements.
