We are devastated to announce the passing of D. J. Dutton, a loving and stubborn son, brother, spouse, and friend. Born on October 26, 1977, in Marietta, GA, D. J. enjoyed restoring classic cars, hard rock music, hunting, caring for animals, and was a firearm enthusiast. His passions along with copious amounts of condiments will continue to be a tie linking his family and friends together forever.
D. J. leaves behind a legacy cherished by his mother Annette Gunter, grandmother Louise McIntyre, significant other Hilary Paige Smith, and a large family including his siblings Joseph & Maggie Gunter, John Paul & Joseph Nix, Darrell Clayton Dutton, Jr., Kristopher Holder, Tonia Olge, and Melanie Senesac. D.J. is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous friends. As well as his furr family Gus, Crash, Stormy, Mist, Sweet Tooth, and Skylar. He was preceded in death by his father Darrell Clayton Dutton and Sabastian his four-legged son, and Pie his equally stubborn cat.
A celebration of D. J.'s life will be held in honor of his memory. The funeral service will take place at the Sam Clark Chapel on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at 2:00 pm. Prior to the service, a visitation will be held at the Clark Funeral Home on Monday, September 16, 2024, from 4:00 pm until 8:00pm. D.J. will be laid to rest at Peaceful Meadows Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations of Summit Racing Gift Cards to the family will be accepted to try to finish his cherished Mustang.
D. J. Did not stand on ceremony and was a simple man; Please dress accordingly. Let us come together to celebrate his life, the family he created, and everyone who knew him. The family is requesting friends and family to come prepared with stories and memories of D. J. to share during the funeral. If you are unable to attend or would like someone else to read yours for you. Please feel free to write it down and someone will read it for you. His warm presence and loyal spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
