Danny Wayne Cottrell

Danny Wayne Cottrell of Villa Rica, Ga passed away on the early morning of May 25, 2022. Danny was a United States Army Veteran who served in Vietnam. He was also an electrical contractor for over 33 years and worked as a farmer all his life. Danny was a beloved husband to his wife, Helen, of 53 years. He was a beloved dad to his son Michael and Melinda. He was a wonderful Papaw to his two grandchildren, Daniel and Amber, and a Papaw Grape to two great-grandchildren, Hunter and Addison. He adored his family and cherished the time he spent with them. Danny was an incredible Husband, Dad, Brother, Papaw, Papaw Grape, and friend who will be deeply missed.

Danny is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Alma Cottrell. He is survived by his loving wife, Helen Cottrell; son, Michael (Melinda) Cottrell; grandchildren, Daniel (Stephanie) Cottrell and Amber Cottrell; great-grandchildren, Hunter and Addison; sister, Joetta (Doug) Hensley of Rose Hill, Va; brother, Gary (Robin) Cottrell of Rose Hill, Va; many nieces and nephews, cousins, and great-nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Saturday, May 28, 2022 from 12:00pm until 2:00pm. Funeral Service for Mr. Cottrell will begin at 2:00pm at Clark Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Clint Alewine officiating. Interment will be held at Lee Family Cemetery in Rose Hill, Va on Sunday, May 29, 2022 at 3:00pm.
