Danny Hammett, age 60, of Hiram, passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2012. He was born on January 2, 1952, in Atlanta, GA, and was preceded in death by his mother, Jerry Elizabeth Hammett, daughter, Selina Hammett, and sister, Robin Woody. Mr. Hammett was employed as a truck driver, and was a member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church. He was a hard worker, a family man that always put his family first, and his favorite bible verse was John 3:16.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Hammett, of Hiram; sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel & Amy Hammett, JR, of Panama City, FL, Matt & Felicia Hammett of Temple, GA, Justin & Trisha Hammett of Williamson, GA, Clyde Hammett of Hiram, GA, and James Eason of Forest Park, GA; daughters, Brandy Bostwick of Locust Grove, and Carrie VanCleve of Forest Park; father, Edgar Hammett of McDonough, GA; brothers, Frank Hammett of Forrest Park, and Edgar Hammett, JR, of Fayetteville; sisters, Genevia Spinks of Jackson, GA, Janis Hammett of Dalton, GA, and Stella Kirkland of McDonough, GA; eighteen grandchildren, one great-grandchild, many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2012, at 11 a.m., from Clark Funeral Home Chapel, with Brother Randy Clark officiating. The family will accept friends at the funeral home on Friday, October 19, 2012, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m.
