David Gunter

David Paul Gunter, age 74, of Powder Springs, GA (Paulding County), passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2014. He was born April 25, 1939, in Madera, CA, to Allie Ruth Parish Gunter & the late, Herschel Paul Gunter. Mr. Gunter served in the U. S. Navy and retired from Ed’s Mercedes Benz Medics in Smyrna, GA, after 25 years, as parts manager. He loved gardening, fishing and hunting and was a self taught taxidermist. Mr. Gunter was a member of Faith Baptist Temple.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Patricia Faye Wellham Gunter; sons & daughters-in-law, David Paul Gunter, II of Dallas, GA, Stephen Brian Gunter & Robin of Pisgah, AL and Dustin Allen Gunter & Janet of Douglasville, GA; daughter & son-in-law, Tabitha Lynn Hood & Michael of Powder Springs, GA; mother, Allie Ruth Gunter of Hiram, GA; brother, Robert L. Gunter & Judy of Hiram, GA; twelve grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
