David Thomason

David Blake Thomason, known as "OB", passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2023. He was born on May 14, 1955, a son of the late Carl and Dorothy Thomason in Clarkdale, Georgia.

He worked as an Electrician for IBEW Local #613 for 41 years before retiring. David enjoyed his career, and loved his union brothers. David loved to fish, whether it be trout fishing or deep sea fishing. He loved people and would do anything for anyone. David loved his family dearly.

In addition to his parents, David is preceded in death by his wife; Becky Cole Thomason.

He is survived by two daughters, Dawn Freeman, and Ashley Pott; two step-daughters, Alicia Jennings Westbrooks, and Amanda Jennings Roberts; two brothers, Tony Thomason, and Timothy Thomason; nine grandchildren, Savannah Freeman, Mattie Freeman, Noah Freeman, Macayla Pott, Nelson Pott, Daven Pott, Brayden Westbrooks, Jacob Roberts, and Ellie Roberts; his dog, Molly; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Friday, January 05, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Funeral Service for David will be held at Clark Funeral Home on Friday, January 5, 2024, at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at Powder Springs City Cemetery. David's Union brothers from Local 613 will be serving as pallbearers.
