Deborah "Debbie" Haynes Bell Burrell, was called away to her heavenly home on Sunday, December 1, 2024, at the age of 64. Born on January 9, 1960, in Atlanta, Georgia, she spent her life making a positive impact in her community. Most recently residing in Marietta, Georgia, Debbie was best known for being a dedicated newspaper columnist, and an admired elementary school counselor where she was beloved by students and colleagues alike.
Among her proudest achievements was her instrumental role in implementing the DARE program in Paulding County Schools, an initiative that aimed to educate children about the dangers of drug use and promote healthy choices. Debbie's commitment to supporting young people and fostering their development left a lasting legacy in the lives of many.
Debbie had a special fondness for collecting angels, a hobby that brought her joy and inspiration throughout her life. In addition to her love for angels, Debbie also enjoyed Georgia Tech football and sharing her passion for the sport with friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her loving parents Cecil and Hugh B. "H.B." Haynes, Jr. She is survived by her sister, Linda Geiger, along with several nieces and nephews, who will remember her kindness, wisdom, and unwavering support. Debbie was well loved and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the cemetery fund at Bethel Methodist Church in Hiram, Georgia
