Dolores Amaro

Dolores Amaro, 70, our beloved Mother, passed away on June 1, 2023.

She was born March 29, 1953 in Austin, Texas to Mike and Mary Amaro.

Dolores spent many years working in insurance, but she also loved her time as a hairdresser, even being the one to do all of her families hair. She loved that time she got to spend with them. She was a lover of food, all food! Dolores definitely had a green thumb as well, and could grow and care for just about anything. She was a Sci-Fi fanatic and some of her favorite shows were Stargate, Star Trek, Ancient Aliens, and anything Bigfoot or Egyptian was high on her list of favorite things. College football was also something you would see her watching on many occasions, as well as the Texas Longhorns, Houston Astros and the Dallas Cowboys, she was a Texas girl at heart.

Dolores was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Amaro and grandparents; Patricio and Angelica Montez.

Dolores is loving survived by her 4 children; Albert Nerio (Monica), Christopher Nerio, Jessica Gonzalez, Lisa Gunter (Robert), her father, Mike Amaro, Sr., her brothers; Mike Amaro, Jr. (Valerie), Ben Amaro, her sisters; Teresa Amaro and Patricia Delgado (Eddie). She is also survived by her 4 beautiful grandchildren; Nicholas Nerio, Victoria Nerio, Mariah Nerio, Maddie Nerio as well as many nieces and nephews.

The family of Dolores will receive friends on Friday, June 9, 2023, from 5:00PM-8:00PM at Clark Funeral Home. A celebration of Dolores' life will be on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at 11:00AM at Clark Funeral Home. Following the the celebration, the family would like to invite everyone to the Mayes Home, 994 Rainey Road, Temple, GA 30179, to gather and continue celebrating Dolores.
