Donald Ray Mayfield

Donald Mayfield, age 69, of Dallas, GA, passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2019. He was born on February 9, 1950 in Dallas, GA, to the late William and Martha Mayfield. He was Baptist by faith and worked as a forklift operator for Shaw Industries for 46 years. Mr. Mayfield enjoyed anything outside, especially hunting. Along with his love for hunting, he also loved his 1974 Chevrolet Truck and guitars, which he enjoyed playing. Donald was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his siblings; Martha Holt, Barbara Mayfield, Mary Lee Thomason, Essie Thomason, Bill Mayfield, and Marlin Mayfield

Survivors include his beloved wife of 48 years, Cathy Mayfield of Dallas, GA, son, Jamie and Nickie Mayfield of Dallas, GA, granddaughter, Allison Mayfield, brothers; George and Carolyn Mayfield, Hugh and Carolyn Mayfield, Willie and Peggy Mayfield, sister, Sarah and Leon Gibson, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service for Mr. Donald Mayfield will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at 5:00 PM from the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Tibbitts and Rev. Kyle Tibbitts officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, July 20, 2019 from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks that donations be made to a charity of your choice in memory of Mr. Mayfield.
