Donald Nutting

Donald C. Nutting, age 92, of Douglasville, GA, (Paulding County), passed away on March 14, 2016. He was born on July 20, 1923, in Gardner, Massachusetts, to the late Elmer & Florence Nutting, and was preceded in death by his first wife, Teresa Nutting, and daughter, Cathy Nutting. Mr. Nutting was a World War II Army Air Corp Veteran and retired as Regional General Director for Rexair-Rainbow Cleaners. Don was a member of New Georgia Baptist Church, where he served as Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, and as an inspirational helper for the youth. Throughout the years he was able to travel on twelve mission trips, which included Uganda, Honduras, Nicaragua, Romania and Russia.

Survivors include wife, Bertha Nutting of Douglasville, GA; daughters, Carol & Don Williams of Dallas, GA, and Janice Stewart of Dallas, GA; step-daughters, Sylvia & Jack Suddeth of Villa Rica, GA, and Debbie & Roger Leggett of Douglasville, GA; sister, Hazel Bastarache of Gardner, Massachusetts; sister-in-law, Gina Nutting of Leominster, Massachusetts; grandchildren, Loretta & Michael Morris, Shayna & Jimmy Harris, Cheralyn Pilgrim, Michael Williams, Jeremy Stewart, Danyelle & Brandon Odom; great-grandchildren, CJ Davis, Emma Morris, Eden Harris, Skye Harris, Ansley Stewart, Payton Odom; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2016, at 1 PM, from New Georgia Baptist Church, with Dr. Keith Stell and Dr. James Burdette officiating. Interment will follow in Georgia Memorial Park. Michael Williams, Michael Morris, C.J. Davis, Jeremy Stewart, Brandon Odom and Jimmy Harris will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 16, 2016, from 4 PM until 8 PM.
