Donald Edward Tyrrell, age 85, of Dallas, passed away on Monday, October 8, 2007. He was born in Detroit, Michigan, on May 2, 1922. His parents, Walter Tyrrell & Alice Dueweke Tyrrell; son, Thomas Tyrrell; and sister, Virginia Hentges, preceded him in death. Mr. Tyrrell was originally from Grosse Pointe, Michigan, also lived in Florida for many years and was currently a resident of Georgia. Mr. Tyrrell was a veteran of World War II serving in the Marines and Navy. He worked for 40 plus years as a sales manager for hospital linen services and was a member of North Metro Church.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, June LaCourse Tyrrell of Dallas; son & daughter-in-law, Richard & Marcia Tyrrell of Langhorne, PA; daughter, Carrie Tyrrell Harris of Marietta; brothers & sisters-in-law, Virgil "Bud" Tyrrell, Patrick & Pete Tyrrell, Walter "Mickey" Tyrrell and Robert & Sharon Tyrrell, all of Michigan; sister & brother-in-law, Helen & Bob Ross of Michigan; sisters-in-law, Michele Pomeroy of Indiana, and Patricia & William Burgoyne of Michigan; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews.
