Dora Pope

Dora Lee Pope, age 90, of Lithia Springs, GA, passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2013. She was born October 15, 1922 in Polk County, GA, and was preceded in death by her parents, Starling & Bessie Powell; her husband, Lihugh Richard Pope; brother, David; and sisters, Jean and Ruth. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her children, Sally Mae & Lonnie Crowe of Lithia Springs, GA, Shirley & Willard Wickerson of Lithia Springs, GA, Carl Richard Pope of Lithia Springs, GA, Jimmy & Nellie Pope of Lithia Springs, GA and Edward Pope of Lithia Springs, GA; brothers, Howard Powell of Aragon, GA and Joe Powell of Aragon, GA; sisters, Bertha Tibbitts of Fayetteville, GA and Jackie Landers of Fayetteville, GA; grandchildren, Wayne Crowe, Ann Hill, Melissa Hubbard and Sherrie Bleecker; eight great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Friday, April 5, 2013, at 3:00 PM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Pastor Daniel Priest officiating. Interment will follow in Mozley Memorial Gardens in Lithia Springs, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, April 4, 2013, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
