Doris Evelyn Holcomb

Doris Evelyn Holcomb, age 72, of Dallas, GA, passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at her home surronded by her loving family. She was born on September 9, 1947 in Atlanta, GA, to her late parents; John and Monteen Dempsey. Mrs. Holcomb worked as a homemaker and was a faithful member of Hiram First Baptist Church. Doris was a loving mother, grandmother and Granny to all and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 42 years, Joseph Holcomb III, daughter, Windy Holcomb, brother, Jack Dempsey and sisters; Ruby Biddy and Dorothy Prater.

Survivors include her children; Joe and Kendra Holcomb of Hiram, GA, Hellen and Dwayne Hardin of Calhoun, GA, Adam and Melissa Holcomb of Dallas, GA, Beth and Aidan Schmeckpeper of Rome, GA, grandkids; Jessica and Jake Cagliani, Matthew Holcomb, Luke Holcomb, Corey and Kitty Hardin, Cody Hardin,  Jordan Hardin, Joshua Hardin, Wendy Holcomb, Bella Holcomb, Mia Holcomb, Elianna Holcomb, Rylee King, Josephina Schmeckpeper, Brandon Schmeckpeper, great grandkids; Elijah Cagliani, Ezekiel Cagliani, Eversyn Cagliani, Victoria Kate Hardin, husband and companion, Timothy Leon Holcomb of Dallas, GA, sisters; Daisy Anthony of Piedmont, AL, Bonnie and Carey Johnson of Dallas, GA, Patricia and Junior Brantley of Douglasville, GA, Virginia and Barry Gatins of Douglasville, GA, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Doris Evelyn Holcomb will be held on Friday, November 22, 2019 at 2:00 PM at The Clark Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Joe Holcomb officiating.  Interment will follow the service at Riverview Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers; Corey Hardin, Cody Hardin, Carey Johnson, Jamie Alford, Matthew Holcomb, Luke Holcomb and Chris Pruitt. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, November 21, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Friday, November 22, 2019 from 11:00 AM until the service begins at 2:00 PM.
