Dorothy Bettis

Dorothy Louise Bettis, age 89 of Dallas, GA, passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2015. Mrs. Bettis was born on November 28, 1925 in Canton, GA, to the late U.L. Plumley and Francis Holcomb Plumley. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Brooks Kendall and brother, Harold Plumley.

Mrs. Bettis was of Baptist faith and worked as a nurse for many years.
She was an avid gardener, great cook, loved to sew and was very family orientated.

Survivors include sons, Bill Kendall & wife, Sheila of Dallas, GA, Alton Kendall & wife, Joyce of Yulee, FL, David Kendall of Villa Rica GA; daughter, Charlene Brown of Dallas, GA; brothers, Joe Plumley of Gainesville, GA, Leon Plumley of Kennesaw, GA, Junior Plumley of Salem, NC, Hoyt Plumley of Newnan, GA, AJ Plumley of Canton, GA; sisters, Christine Rogers of Douglasville, GA, Elizabeth Roper of Woodstock, GA, Diane Wade of Newnan, GA; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Bettis will be held Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at 11:00AM from the Clark Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Leon Plumley officiating. Interment will follow at Paulding Memorial Gardens .

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, July 27, 2015 From 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
