Dorothy Tone

Dorothy Tone, age 81, of Hiram, GA. passed away on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at her home. She was born on April 12, 1939 in New York to her late parents, Arthur and Frances Dockstader. Mrs. Tone worked as a librarian for 15 years at Woodland Park Middle School and Camp Pendleton Marine Corps Base. Dorothy enjoyed knitting and crocheting along with reading. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, John Tone (retired U.S. Navy); daughter, Michelle Tone; son, Wolfe Tone, and sister, Eilleen Coppola.

Mrs. Tone is survived by her daughter, Dana (Donald) Apperson; sons, John (Jackie) Tone, Pat (Tammy) Tone, Kevin Tone, Scott Tone; sister, Agnes Lawston; brother, Douglas Dockstader; 11 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren.

Service for Mrs. Tone will be held at Clark Funeral Home on Sunday, March 28, 2021 at 6:00 PM with Pastor Joey Meeks officiating. The family will receive friends before the service from 4:30 until the time of service.

The family would like to extend their love and appreciation to everyone who may be unable to attend the service in person due to the states Covid-19 concerns or state restrictions (no more than 50 people inside the funeral home at one time). If attending the visitation or service, the family and the staff of Clark Funeral Home highly recommends that a face mask be worn and that social distancing be practiced to help prevent the spreading of any possible illnesses and to help keep visitors, friends and family members of Mrs. Tone safe.
