Doyle Ernest Bell, age 82, of Powder Springs, GA, passed away on
Wednesday, December 12, 2007. The son of the late Frank M. & Stephronia Bell, he was born in Paulding County, on August 6, 1925.
He was preceded in death by a son, Frank Bell. Mr. Bell was a World War II veteran, having served in the U. S. Navy. He was retired from Atlantic Steel as a crane operator and was a farmer. Mr. Bell was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Edna Florence Bell of Powder Springs; sons & daughters-in-law, Mike Bell & wife Marva of Carrollton, and Tim Bell & wife Lynn of Dallas; daughters & son-in-law, Susan Bell of Powder Springs, and Pam Emerson & husband Mike of Madison; sister, Frankie Ferguson of Powder Springs; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 14, 2007, at 3:00 p.m., from Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, with Reverend Lamar Rackley and Reverend Moses Florence officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Bell will lie-in-state at the church from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, December 13, 2007, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
