Laton Earl Duncan, age 88, of Dallas GA., passed away on Friday, September 22, 2017. Earl was born on March 26, 1929 to the late Roy and Viola Duncan in Jasper GA. He was in the United States Army and worked as a pharmacist for over 62 years as well as a member of Concord Baptist Church.
Survivors include his son, Greg (Keila) Duncan of Powder Springs, his 2 daughters; Susan Conner of Dallas, GA., Prilla Duncan of Dallas, GA., his brother, J. I. (Shirley) Duncan of Smyrna GA., his 2 sisters; Geneva Scandlyn of Montgomery, AL., Martha Atherton of Talking Rock, GA., his 9 grandchildren and his 10 great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews are also survived by him.
Funeral services will be held on September 24, 2017 from Clark Funeral Home at 4:00 PM with Reverend Don Rackley officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, September 24, 2017 from 12:00 PM until 4:00 PM. Interment will be a private service at Talking Rock Baptist Church with Brother Larry Kelly officiating on Monday, September 25, 2017. Serving as pallbearers will be the Rotary Club and family members.
In lieu of flowers the family respectfully asks that donations be made to Talking Rock Baptist Church or to Mt. Zion Baptist Church building fund.
