Elaine Casteel

Elaine Casteel, born on July 8, 1941, in Marietta, GA, passed away on August 29, 2024, in Cartersville, GA at the age of 83. Elaine was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. She will be deeply missed by her sons Mark Casteel and wife Kristy, and Tony Casteel and wife Kerri; brother Guy Armstrong and wife Elizabeth; sister Mary Patterson; grandchildren Tyler Clackum and wife Lexie, Chelsey Casteel, Chloe Casteel, and Danielle Casteel; 8 great grandchildren. Elaine was preceded in death by her husband Harold Casteel, parents Cliff and Lila Armstrong.

Elaine dedicated many years of her life to serving the community as a school bus driver for the Cobb County Board of Education. Her kind and caring nature made her a favorite among the children she transported. Elaine was a strong faithful servant of the Lord and a member of Northwest Christian Church in Acworth.

A Memorial Service to celebrate Elaine's life will be held at the Sam Clark Chapel on September 14, 2024, at 12:00 pm with Pastor Jimmy Lester officiating. For those who will be unable to attend can join the service via livestream beginning at 12:00 pm. Friends and family are invited to gather to honor and remember Elaine's impact on their lives beginning at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, you may make donations in memory of Elaine to Good Samaritan.

Elaine's legacy of love and compassion will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. May she rest in peace as her memory continues to bring comfort to those who loved her.
